Permalink & G2 Settings Issues

December 26, 2009 by Leslie Leave a Comment

I’m having issues with the Permakinks Settings for this particular installation of WordPress. I can change the setting to the structure I want to use and update it. The links are changed with in the blog itself. But then I get a browser error “The page isn’t redirecting properly” and the URL in the address bar is always http://www.lesliekirk.com/http:/main.php

I’m going to take a look at what is getting written to the .htaccess file but that would mean that Word Press is writing the wrong data to the file. Time to get this figured out. I just realized I posted this issue to the WordPress Support Forms TEN months ago:

Reported Issues with Flock

November 6, 2008 by Leslie Leave a Comment

Seems that some folks might be having problems publishing blog posts to a self-hosted WordPress blog using Flock. I haven’t had any issues “yet”, but I don’t use it much because I find it extremely limiting. Unless I am missing something, I can’t edit pages or links. It seems to only be able to post.

November 2, 2008 by Leslie Leave a Comment

I have to run the gauntlet of updating to 2.6.3 for all my WP blogs that I have or maintain. Still need to find a fix for the WPG2 plug-in.

Flock Test

October 25, 2008 by Leslie Leave a Comment

Decided to try something a little different – Flock. I’m so used to logging into each individual blog, Flock will let me keep them all in one place so to speak.

Still glitching

July 17, 2008 by Leslie Leave a Comment

Would you believe the updating to this WordPress has been the most difficult? I’m experiencing blank pages every time I try to save or update. I can’t update Plugin – the count remains the same. I’m not having these issues with other WordPress sites after the update. Not really found this problem in the WP forums – they all seem to focus on the admin login issue.

Glitch in update to 2.6

July 17, 2008 by Leslie Leave a Comment

If you upgrade to the latest version of WordPress be forewarned, you will bee to clear your browser cache or you will find yourself “locked out” of your admin. You really won’t be locked out, but it will feel like it. The login page will just keep refreshing. If you don’t get a warning that you are using the wrong password, then you don’t need to reset it, just clear your cache…

More About Google Analytics

July 20, 2007 by Leslie Leave a Comment

I stumbled across what I consider to be one the best new features of the made over Google Analytics – the easy ability to export and/or email reports. Within the redesigned Dashboard are two link buttons – Export and Email. You can export either a PDF or an XML file. You can email four file formats PDF, XML, CSV, or TSV. I will admit I had to go “google” TSV to learn that it is a Tab Separated Values file. And I thought it would be something exciting.

So if you haven’t already, go set yourself up a Google Analytics account.
